This Privacy Policy explains how SiftIQ ("SiftIQ," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information when you use the SiftIQ application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). It also explains how we handle information when you connect a financial account through Plaid Link.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

We may collect information that you provide directly, such as your name, email address, support requests, preferences, and files or data that you choose to import into or process with SiftIQ.

Financial information obtained through Plaid

If you choose to connect a financial account using Plaid Link, we may receive information from Plaid based on the accounts, data types, and permissions that you select and authorize. Depending on the SiftIQ feature you use, this information may include:

• Financial institution name and account name, type, subtype, and masked account identifier;
• Account balances and available-balance information;
• Transaction information, such as date, amount, merchant or description, category, location, and pending or posted status; and
• Connection status, consent status, and technical identifiers needed to maintain or disconnect the integration.

We request only the financial data needed for the features you choose to use. SiftIQ does not receive your financial-institution username or password from Plaid.

Technical and usage information

We may collect limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the Services, such as application version, device or operating-system information, diagnostic events, error logs, feature interactions, and basic website request information. We do not use connected financial data for behavioral advertising.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

• Provide the features you request, including importing, organizing, analyzing, categorizing, reconciling, visualizing, and exporting financial data;
• Create and maintain your connection to a financial institution;
• Authenticate users, maintain application functionality, and provide customer support;
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, security incidents, abuse, or technical problems;
• Improve the reliability, usability, and performance of the Services; and
• Comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell your personal information or connected financial data. We do not use connected financial data for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: to vendors that help us operate, secure, host, support, or maintain the Services, subject to appropriate contractual restrictions;
• Plaid: to initiate and maintain the financial-account connection you request. Plaid's handling of information is governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy;
• Legal and safety: when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, and the integrity of the Services; and
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.

We do not permit service providers to use connected financial data for their own marketing.

4. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion

SiftIQ is designed as a desktop analytics application, and many files and analysis outputs may remain on the device or in the storage location you select. Information processed by online integrations may be transmitted to and processed by the applicable integration provider as necessary to provide the feature.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the feature used, the user's choices, and legal or security requirements.

You may disconnect a linked financial account within the application when that option is available or by contacting us. When a connection is disconnected, SiftIQ will stop requesting new data from that account after the disconnection is processed. Disconnecting does not automatically remove reports, exports, or local files that you previously created; you must delete those copies from the locations where you saved them.

You may request deletion of personal information and Plaid-linked connection data by emailing [email protected]. We may retain limited information when required by law, needed for security or fraud prevention, or otherwise permitted by applicable law.

5. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These safeguards may include access controls, encryption in transit, secure credential and token handling, logging, software updates, and data minimization. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information; to restrict or object to certain processing; or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also:

• Choose whether to connect a financial account through Plaid;
• Select the available financial accounts and permissions you want to authorize;
• Decline to connect an account and use SiftIQ features that do not require that connection; and
• Disconnect a linked account and request deletion of associated connection data.

7. Third-Party Services and Integrations

The Services may allow you to connect to third-party services, including Plaid, financial institutions, cloud-storage providers, database providers, or artificial-intelligence services. Your use of those services is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies before enabling an integration.

8. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. United States Processing

SiftIQ is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. If changes materially affect how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
